Police investigate a suspicious package in Halifax.

At approximately 8:50 a.m. officers responded to a report of a suspicious package in the 5700 block of Young Street in Halifax. Members of the Forensic Identification Section attended and determined the package was not a threat to the public.

The intersection of Young Street at Agricola Street was temporarily closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

All streets have been reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
