The Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. (NSLC) released its first-quarter financial results today, September 22.

For the first quarter, from April 1 to June 28, 2026, total sales were $219.4 million, up 0.2 per cent from the same period last year. Beverage alcohol sales totalled $182.6 million, down 1.7 per cent, while cannabis sales reached $36.8 million, up 11.2 per cent.

Net income totalled $62.0 million, a decrease of 6.8 per cent.

Total sales of Nova Scotia beverage alcohol products were $26.1 million, a decrease of 5.1 per cent compared with the same period last year:
– spirits decreased 8.7 per cent to $3.1 million
– wine decreased 1.6 per cent to $4.3 million
– beer decreased 3.9 per cent to $8.3 million
– ready-to-drink products decreased 6.3 per cent to $10.3 million.

Nova Scotia cannabis sales increased 13.7 per cent to $10.5 million, representing 28.6 per cent of total cannabis sales.

From April 1 to June 28, 2026, the NSLC sold just over $1.8 million of U.S. products. The NSLC continues to sell existing U.S. product inventory only and is not importing any additional products made, manufactured or produced in the United States.
