RCMP release:
The Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit (SWN MCU) has charged a third person with First Degree Murder in relation to the homicide of Steven Boudreau.
Boudreau was reported missing from Hopewell on April 19. Officers determined his disappearance was suspicious, and the SWN MCU assumed responsibility for the investigation. Boudreau’s remains were recovered in May.
Three people are now facing charges of First Degree Murder associated to the death.
Cody Palmer was arrested on May 20 in Torbrook. Travis Jennings was arrested on June 22 in East Dalhousie.
On October 1, as part of the ongoing investigation, SWN MCU has arrested a third person. Shelby Ann Vienneau, 24, was safely arrested at a residence in Wilmot. She is charged with First Degree Murder and had a first court appearance on October 2 at Kentville Provincial Court.
All three people remain in custody.
In addition to SWN MCU, other units and agencies involved in the investigation have included RCMP Forensic Identification Services, RCMP Digital Forensic Services, and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
