Two New Minas residents are each charged with robbery after a call to a business on Commercial Street last week, Kings District RCMP say.

Police say officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at a business in the 9100 block of Commercial St. around 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 2.

A short time later, officers found the suspect vehicle, a grey Ford Ranger, in a parking lot on Highland Ave.

With help from Kentville Police Service, officers arrested both people in the truck without incident.

A 64-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man, both from New Minas, are each charged with robbery. Both were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court on Nov. 25.

Police have not named the business or said what was taken.
