Yesterday evening at 7:20 p.m. the Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery call in the 1600 block of the Bedford Highway.
Information obtained indicated that a male entered the store, obtained a quantity of meat products and then exited the store without paying. When the security officer confronted the male, the suspect dropped the stolen items and presented a conducted energy device to ward off the security officer.
The suspect then fled the area and was apprehended by police a short distance away. The suspect was identified a 25 year old Halifax male and will face Robbery and prohibited weapons related charges.
