Hi folks,
Time crunched this week so here’s a quick roundup of things going on:
The Salvation Army Family Resource Centre has been running a fundraiser that wraps up Friday called Sally’s Kitchen. They are cooking and delivering lunches for $7. You do have to pre-order the lunches, so if you’re reading this unfortunately it’s a bit late to get your rice crust spinach quiche, but all proceeds from the four-week long project go to Salvation Army missions in developing countries.
The IWK Health Centre and Capital Health’s Community Health Teams are offering a free information session on concussions. The session will cover:
· Signs and symptoms of a concussion
· Return to play guidelines
· Questions to ask your health care provider
· Resources to help find out more information
It all happens Monday, May 28, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Community Wellness Centre, Spryfield Shopping Centre, 16 Dentith Rd. To register, please call Kim Clarke @ 470-7039.
via Linda Mosher: the Quarter Note Singers Coffee House will take place on Thursday June 7, from 7-9 pm at the Captain Spry Centre. Refreshments are available and donations are accepted. Special guests will be the Hydrostoners Ukelele.
The Chebucto Community Health team is having a public consultation meeting on June 5, at 6:30 at the Chocolate Lake Rec Centre. Call 487-0690 to register.
And a reminder that the Urban Farm’s Annual plant sale is coming up on Saturday at the Captain William Spry Centre.
