RCMP release name of Highway 107 crash victim

August 11, 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . RCMP  are releasing the name of the victim that was killed in a motor vehicle collision on Highway 107 yesterday afternoon.
 
Marilyn Doherty-Legoffic, 49-years-old, of Dartmouth died when the vehicle she was driving was involved in a head on collision.  
 
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
 
August 10, 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . The woman injured in the earlier collision on Hwy 107 between Exit 17 and 18 has died from her injuries.
 
Just after noon today, a westbound Honda Fit crossed the dividing line of Hwy 107 and collided with an eastbound Audi.  The driver of the Honda Fit, the lone female occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted to hospital where she died from her injuries.  The driver of the Audi was treated at the scene and released.  A third vehicle, a pickup truck, was also involved in the collision.  The occupants of that vehicle were uninjured.
 
The highway remains closed at this hour.  The police investigation into this collision continues.  Traffic is being rerouted onto Hwy 7 at Exits 17 and 18.
