As soon as I heard there was a new princess series coming to Disney Junior, I knew my boys would be excited. Typical “little girls” shows are some of the most adored by my boys! The big eyes, the pretty long hair, the squeaky girly voices – they lock in as soon as they notice them on the screen. Aidan’s first love was Ariel, then came Rapunzel, then Strawberry Shortcake, then Barbie and now Sofia!
To celebrate the launch of the new series called Sofia the First and the first book contest, we received a copy for our children.
The story is of Sofia’s royal adventure preparing to move into the castle with her mom, starting a new family with her step-father, King Roland II, and step-siblings, Amber and James. Sofia soon discovers that looking like a princess isn’t all that difficult, but displaying honesty, loyalty, courage, compassion, independence and grace is what makes one truly royal… some great life lessons to share with our children!
The special presentation airing November 24th at 7pm ET and upcoming series, stars the voices of Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Sofia; Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy) as Queen Miranda; Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal) as Clover; Tim Gunn (Project Runway) as Baileywick. There’s also a cameo by
Also! Disney Junior is glad to launch the Sofia The First Book Contest! You’ll have to watch the premiere carefully because you’ll need to know the answer to a certain question for your chance to win one of 150 Sofia The First Book Prize Packs:
