I have an entire cupboard dedicated to my stash of mason jars. I love them for pretty well everything…organizing my spices, bulk dry goods, green smoothies, homemade scrubs, cotton balls, as a vase, for pencils, crayons and really any type of art supplies. You could easily spot a couple of them in any room of my house…I adore them!
Growing up, we used mason drinking jars and I’ve been keeping my eye out for a new shiny set to stock the cupboard with. There’s just something about a glass of homemade lemonade (or margarita) in a mason jar. *swoon*.
SO, I’m thrilled to see that 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of the first series of jars designed by Ball brothers!! Each jar is intended to be better than the one before.
1913 saw the launch of the launch of the first true”Perfect Mason” jar. These limited edition jars are a celebration of the heritage featuring period-correct blue color and embossed logos on the front and back. These vintage-inspired jars maintain all of our modern standards for quality and reliability.

I do wish that the lids were more vintage-y but they’re still gorgeous and will be beautiful lined up on the kitchen windowsill at The Homemade Farm or better yet, used for their intended purpose once we get a garden going! The Perfect Masons sell for $12.99US for a set of 6, but I have no idea when they’ll be available in Canada. I’ll be regularly checking Canadian Tire and Walmart for them and stock up if I spot them!!
Anyone else have a mason jar obsession???
