Metro Transit has increased the number of free overflow Park & Ride parking spots behind Wheaton’s Store near the Sackville Terminal.
Parking spots are located at 27 Walker Avenue, behind Wheaton’s in the gravel parking lot, adjacent to the existing overflow parking lot. The new parking area has Halifax Metro Transit Park & Ride signs posted. Drivers will no longer need to register with Wheaton’s to use the gravel lot.
The paved portion of the parking lot is not part of Park & Ride, and is only for store customers. Cars parked on the paved portion will be subject to ticketing.
