Kings District RCMP arrested two people in relation to the theft of baby rabbits from the petting zoo at Hennigars Farm Market in Greenwich, Kings County.
On August 26th two baby rabbits were stolen from the petting zoo’s rabbit pen.
Two days later two more rabbits were taken from the pen.
On September 4th RCMP recovered two deceased baby rabbits from an apartment building parking lot. Further investigation allowed police to arrest a 22-year-old Kentville man and a 19-year-old Kentville woman. The man is facing a charge of Possession of Stolen Property obtained by crime and Obstruction of a Police Investigation. The woman is facing a charge of Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property obtained by crime. Both have been released and are set to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on November 12th, 2013.
The investigation into the location of the other two missing rabbits continues.
