RCMP investigate all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash in Hedgeville.

RCMP responded to a 911 call of an unconscious man with serious head injuries near an overturned ATV. The crash occurred on Watt Road on Saturday, September 21st, at 4:50 p.m.

The 56-year-old man from Pictou County was immediately transported to the Aberdeen Hospital by Emergency Health Services and later airlifted to the QEII in Halifax. He died Sunday afternoon as a result of his injuries. His name is not being released at this time.

The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
