29, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – HRM residents are invited to the annual Dartmouth tree lighting festivities taking place at Sullivan’s Pond on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013.
Residents can enjoy a wide variety of activities in addition to the tree lighting, including a free ride on the Kiwanis Santa Claus Express Train; a visit with an HRM fire truck, local mascots’ HRP Blue, RCMP Safety Bear and The Holiday Penguin; an LED Light Exchange; fireworks; a choir; and a visit from Santa.

Please note that Crichton Avenue between Prince Albert Road and Dahlia Street will be closed from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. to accommodate the large number of people expected to attend the event.
Due to the large number of vehicles and pedestrians in the area, motorists can expect delays.
