DIGBY COUNTY: Melanson Mills Bridge
Melanson Mills Bridge on Marc Comeau Road will be closed at 9 p.m. Monday, Sept 29 until Friday, Oct. 31, to replace the bridge deck.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Fall River Roundabout
Construction of a modern roundabout at the intersection of Highway 2 and the ramps from Highway 102 and Highway 118 begins Sunday, Sept. 28.
Work will take place at night (between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekends). The work will be completed in late December. Even though the work will be taking place at night, delays are possible during the day.
Drivers should plan extra time for their trip and use caution when travelling through the construction zone. Use an alternate route if possible.

HANTS COUNTY: Trunk 1, Falmouth
Trunk 1 from the Windsor Town Line to Lighthouse Road in Mount Denson will have stop and go traffic for repaving from Tuesday, Sept. 30 until Friday, Oct. 31.
Work takes place from dawn to dusk.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, Lower South River
Traffic on Highway 104 is detoured for one kilometre to Dunns Loop until Tuesday, Sept. 30. Speed limit is reduced to 60 km/h through the detour.
Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Grand Narrows Road, Georges River
The Grand Narrows Road in Georges River has lane closures for culvert work and ditching. Work is about three kilometres west of Highway 105 and will end Tuesday, Sept. 30.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 105
Sections of Highway 105, from Grand Narrows Road east to the Pleasant Street/Route 305 overpass and on-ramp, will be reduced to one lane for road repairs, repaving, and guardrail upgrades until Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Work will take place from sunrise to sunset, but there may be some night work. Drivers should use extra caution in the area and be prepared for delays.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Little Bras d’Or
Traffic on Highway 105 (Trans Canada Highway), between Exit 17 and 18 near the Little Bras d’Or bridge, is reduced to one lane from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until Friday, Oct. 3.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Port Morien
Traffic on sections of Route 255, between Homeville and Port Morien is reduced to one lane for clearing work until Friday, Oct. 31.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Sydney River Bridge
The Sydney River Bridge on Keltic Drive is closed for replacement. While the bridge is closed, there is a free shuttle bus service between Coxheath Arena (305 Keltic Dr.) and Walmart (65 Keltic Dr.). A detour route is marked.

COLCHESTER/HANTS COUNTIES: Highway 102, Shubenacadie River
Construction is taking place on Highway 102 at the bridges over Shubenacadie River, until September 2015.
A detour bridge allows two lanes of traffic in both directions, however, drivers are urged to travel with extra caution in the area.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Eddy Road
Eddy Road to Fort Lawrence, near Amherst, Cumberland Co., is closed until further notice.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Halfway River Flat Bridge
Trunk 2, from Canaan Road to Lakelands Road, is closed for timber bridge repairs on the Halfway River Flat Bridge until Friday, Oct. 3.
A detour is in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge
The Melford Brook Bridge, on Route 344 at Middle Melford, is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built. The speed limit is reduced to 60 km/h and warning signs are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: South River Lake Road
There are alternating lane closures on South River Lake Road for road upgrading, including gravelling and paving. Work is taking place at the intersection of Larrys River Road and moving west. Work will finish Friday, Oct. 17.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Night Work, Highway 102
During nighttime hours, northbound traffic on Highway 102 is reduced to one lane between Exit 2B at Larry Uteck Boulevard and Exit 4 in Bedford. On weekdays, lane reductions will occur between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, lane reductions will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 7 a.m.
There will be similar lane reductions on southbound lanes between the Hammonds Plains Road Interchange (Exit 3A) and Larry Uteck Boulevard. On weekdays, southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. On weekends, lanes will be reduced between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Drivers should be prepared for delays, or use alternate routes. Work will last until the end of November.

Sections of Route 354 (Beaver Bank Road), from the Hants County line south for about seven kilometres, are reduced to one lane for repaving.
Traffic is controlled by flag people and a pilot vehicle. The work is scheduled to be finished Tuesday, Sept. 30.

HANTS COUNTY: Route 202
Route 202, in the West Gore area, has stop-and-go traffic with a pilot vehicle for gravelling and repaving until Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from dawn to dusk.

HANTS COUNTY: Route 236
Traffic on Route 236, between Route 215 and Gosse Bridge, is reduced to one lane to allow for slope repairs. The work is scheduled to be completed Tuesday, Sept. 30.

HANTS COUNTY: Route 277
Traffic on sections of Route 277, between Old Trunk Road and Hurshman Road, are reduced to one lane for repaving until Tuesday, Sept. 30.

HANTS COUNTY: Woodville Road and Ashdale Road
Sections of Woodville Road, from Ashdale Road south to Ardoise School House Road, and Ashdale Road, from Woodville Road, west for about three kilometres, are reduced to one lane for repaving.
Drivers should use caution and obey signs and traffic control people in the area. Work will be completed at the end of October.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Crowdis Bridge
Crowdis Bridge is closed until further notice for repairs. A detour is available via Crowdis Cross Road, West Big Interval Road and Hatchery Road.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 4, Port Hawkesbury
Sections of Highway 4, from the Port Hastings rotary at the intersection with Highway 105, east for about three kilometres, will have stop-and-go traffic for repaving. Traffic control people and pilot vehicles are onsite.
Work takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work is scheduled to be finished by the end of September.

INVERNESS COUNTY: West Lake Ainslie Road
The Hayes River Bridge on West Lake Ainslie Road has a 15-tonne weight restriction.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101, Lane Reduction
Traffic on Highway 101 near Coldbrook is reduced to one lane during work on the railway overpass 500 metres west of Exit 14.
Traffic will be controlled 24 hours a day by traffic signals. Work will be completed at the end of September.

KINGS COUNTY: Whitman Bridge
Whitman Bridge, on Whitman Road between Maple Avenue and Ward Road in Aylesford, is closed for repairs until further notice.
The detour route is Maple Avenue, Victoria Road and Ward Road.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Forties Road
Traffic on sections of Forties Road, from the intersection of Fraxville Road to the intersection of Barss Corner Road, is reduced to one lane for repaving. Work is scheduled to be completed at the end of September.
Traffic is controlled by flag people.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Hirtle Road and Llewellyn Road
Hirtle Road, from Highway 103 toward Route 331, and Llewellyn Road, from Hirtle Road to Highway 103, have alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Route 332
Route 332, from Riverport Bridge towards Bridgewater, has alternating lane closures for repaving until Tuesday, Sept. 30.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Varner Bridge
Work has begun on a new bridge beside the existing Varner Bridge on Route 208 near New Germany. The existing bridge will remain open during construction, but there may be occasional, brief closures during normal construction activities. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.
The new, two-lane bridge will be completed in 2015.

LUNENBURG/QUEENS COUNTIES: Road Paving
Sections of the following roads are reduced to one lane for repaving:
— Cherryfield Road: various sections from the intersection of Highway 10 to East Dalhousie
— Crousetown Road: between Conquerall Mills Road and Italy Cross Road
— Vaughn Road: from Highway 3 to end of road
— West Street (Queens County): from the Town of Liverpool north for about two kilometres.
Work on these roads will be completed by the end of October.

Alma Road, from Sylvester Road north to Route 376, about four kilometres, is reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Route 347
Route 347, from the intersection of Garden of Eden Church Loop to the intersection of Woods Road, is reduced to one lane for repaving until Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Delays are expected. Traffic control people and a pilot vehicle are on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Stewart Road, from Route 376 west to Durham Road, about five kilometres, is reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Traffic on sections of Highway 4, west for about seven kilometres from east of MacNabs Bridge, are reduced to one lane for bridge repairs and repaving until Monday, Dec. 1.

Gillis Bridge on North Branch Road, just past Uisge Ban (USH-AK BAHN) Falls Provincial Park, is closed until further notice. Access to the park is not affected.
