A Number Of Vehicles Broken Into In Ketch Harbour Road Area, Two Charged

Two men face charges after a number of vehicles were broken into yesterday morning in Herring Cove.
Two men face charges after a number of vehicles were broken into yesterday morning in Herring Cove.
 
Shortly after 6 a.m., officers responded to the 0-100 block of Ketch Harbour Road to a report of two suspects breaking into vehicles in the area. The men fled the area on foot but were quickly located on Village Road where they were taken into custody without incident.
 
As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Julian Philip Mombourquette of Halifax and 22-year-old Timothy Donald Baker of Halifax appeared in court yesterday to answer to numerous charges including theft under $5000, possession of stolen property under $5000, trespass by night and breach of court orders.
