Eight Access Nova Scotia centres are offering expanded hours for the written test to become a new driver in Nova Scotia, effective today, Jan. 9.

The new hours are:

Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

— Bridgewater Access Centre, 81 Logan Rd.
— Yarmouth Access Centre, Provincial Building, 10 Starrs Rd., Suite 127
— Sydney Access Centre, Moxham Centre, 380 King’s Rd.
— Truro Access Centre, 15 Alderbrook Dr.

Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

— Amherst Access Centre, 144 Robert Angus Dr.
— Stellarton Access Centre, 94 Lawrence Blvd.
— Antigonish Access Centre, 149 Church St., Antigonish Mall Annex, Suite 3
— Port Hawkesbury Access Centre, Provincial Building, 218 MacSween St., Suite 22

These expanded hours apply to the written test only. Service Nova Scotia continues to work on further enhancements to the new driver experience.

“This is just the start of ongoing improvements we are making to better meet the needs of new drivers,” said Minister of Service Nova Scotia Mark Furey. “As I announced in April 2016, Service Nova Scotia is undergoing a significant transformation which will improve and modernize our programs and services.

“Nova Scotians, including new drivers, can expect to see service improvements on an ongoing basis.”
