On July 2nd at 2:50am, Halifax Regional; Police responded to an assault call on Grafton St. near Prince Street in Halifax. A 21 year old male from Dartmouth was located at the scene bleeding from the facial area. He was transported to the QE2 Hospital where his medical condition eventually worsened. Officers interviewed several people and a description of possible suspects and a vehicle was obtained. Approximately three hours later officers were responded to another unrelated call when a similar vehicle was stopped leaving this altercation. As a result one of the males in the vehicle was arrested for the assault. The investigation continued and a 18 year old male from Dartmouth is being held in custody to attend court on Monday to face charges of Aggravated Assault, robbery and two counts of breach of probation. The investigation is continuing.
