Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Akerley Boulevard in Dartmouth will be closed to all traffic this weekend between Windmill Road and Fielding Avenue while crews replace the railroad tracks near Mosher Drive.
This closure will go into effect at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, and remain in place until about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4. The street will not reopen overnight. Crews will accommodate local traffic at either end of the closure; however, vehicles will not be able to travel through, as this work will require a deep trench to be dug across the street.
If possible, motorists are advised to use alternative routes for the duration of the closure. The municipality and CN Rail regret any inconvenience this may cause.
