Altercation Leaves Victim With Severe Injuries

At approximately 3:50 pm yesterday afternoon, Halifax Regional Police responded to a reported disturbance in the area of Brunswick St and Artz St in Halifax. 
 
A 46 year old victim in this matter was located by police upon their arrival. Officers were able to determine from witnesses in the area that the victim had been struck with a blunt object during an altercation and had sustained serious injuries. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to hospital by Emergency Health Services paramedics with what are believed to be life threatening injuries. 
 
There have been no arrests in this matter at this time, however, it is being investigated by the Integrated Criminal Investigations Division.
