The alternative voting period for the municipal and school board elections is now open. All eligible voters in the Halifax Regional Municipality may choose to cast their vote in this manner, which includes e-voting and phone voting.
The alternative voting period continues until Thursday, October 13 at 7 p.m. In order to participate in e-voting, all eligible voters should have received a Voter PIN along with additional instructions on their voter information letter, which was mailed last week. Residents not currently in possession of this letter are advised to check their mailbox or contact our Voter Helpline at 902-490-VOTE (8683) or 1-844-301-VOTE (8683) from Monday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. To e-vote/phone vote, you must be on the voters list by the end of the revisions period, which is Wednesday, October 5 at 8 p.m.
E-voting and telephone voting is a fast, easy and convenient way to make your voice heard in the elections. If you did not receive a letter, miss the deadline for revisions or wish to cast a paper ballot, in-person polling dates are listed below.
