America’s Got Talent: Four Second Chances

I never thought this day would come. The quarter-finals of America’s Got Talent are actually, finally over. For reals. No more auditions. No more YouTube hits. No more wild cards. I’ve got to say, I don’t love this format. Six long weeks of hit and miss auditions felt too long, and I’d rather get to spend more time watching the really good acts perform. I mean, summer is almost over and we still have 24 acts left in the competition. When will it all end?

The four acts who made it through after their second shots were Michael Grasso (a magician, ugh), 12-year-old dancers Anna & Patryk and kite-flyer Connor Doran. The only two acts I’d really enjoyed on Tuesday night ended up competing for the judges’ pass – Harmonia Pierre and aerialists Michael & Ashleigh. I was disappointed that only one of the two acts I liked would make it through, but given the choice I would have agreed with the judges and selected Michael & Ashleigh. Their performance really blew me away.

Did your favorites make it through? Can indoor kite-flying really be a Vegas show? And are you getting tired of this show? Sound off below!
