An EARLy Morning

I’ve been awake since 330am.  Wide awake, there was no way I’ve was going back to sleep.  Perhaps it was all the anticipation of Hurricane Earl?

When hubby got up several hours later it was time for some breakkie.

And, more importantly – coffffeeeee! 🙂

Scrambled a couple of eggs with diced green onion and sprinkle of shredded tex mex cheese.  Wrapped them up in a spinach tortilla smeared with light cream cheese and topped with salsa.

Mmm mmm. I love egg + cream cheese combo!

Along with a couple of cute little plums from Local Source Market.

Yup, Earl has arrived.  Super strong winds and lots of rain. Surprisingly, we haven’t lost power yet!

I love storms!  Just hope that everyone stays safe inside.

Blog Housekeeping:

The Next Chapter now has an Official Facebook Page! I know, I know I’m probably the last person in the world to have one (and I much prefer Twitter) but I’ll be making an effort to update it on a regular basis.

So c’mon, Like Me! 🙂  Also, if YOU have a blog fanpage, let me know so that I can return the favour.

Along with creating the fanpage, I’ve also made a few minor changes to the blog layout and updated the recipe section.

The winners of the Operation Beautiful Book Giveaway are…

Amanda Sue, who really helped spread the love!! And, one of my fav bloggies – Jenny!  Congrats!   Please send an email with your shipping details to nextchapterblog@gmail.com and I’ll be in touch.

Alright, off to get some house work done, will check back in later.  I might venture out for some pics after the worst of the storm has passed.

PS.  We had a yummy Creamy Tomato & Basil Linguine dish for Supper last night! 😉
