And As Our Lives Change, From Whatever

Morning Bloggies.  Hope all is well with everyone single one of you!

I’m going to be honest and say that this since Thursday its been a real struggle, I’ve haven’t really been on track.  Doing my best to change that today but it is going to show on Tuesday morning.  Life goes on, there will be other weeks.  I’m in this for the long haul.

Yesterday morning I attempted to make eggs benny.  I tried the Julia Child’s recipe for hollandaise sauce but only had 2.5oz of butter and it called for 4oz.  In the end the sauce tasted way too lemony, I believe, due to the lack of butter. Oh well, it’s probably for the best anyways as the sauce is super high in calories.

I did, however, poach eggs for the first time ever and it worked! Followed Jenna’s directions and they were perfect.

Et Voilà!

Poached eggies with melted sprinkled old cheddar on ww thin.

Took my coffee out on the patio to enjoy the morning sunshine.

Was a great day to hang the laundry on the line.

Later in the morning I met up with Jaime to help her run a few moving errands and then we headed over to Two If By Sea Cafe for some tasty treats. I had a $10 budget that I stayed within, whoohoo!

Was definitely an iced coffee kinda morning! 25+ degrees out.

With teeth and without. ;)  Yes, I’m never forgetting that comment! hehe

Okay, this pic of Jaime didn’t really turn out well as I was facing the window, but she’s smiling!   Had a great time chatting about her upcoming cross Canada adventures, new condo and my hope to visit the West Coast within the next year.   I’m gonna miss ya chickie.

I went for the Prosciutto & Cheese Croissant again. A.MAZ.ING.

I immediately cut this sucker in half for a later time.  It’s really good but I’m sure totally bad for you! (And I totally ate the other half for a late lunch on the drive home.)

After our eats and gab sess, we headed back to Jaime’s place where I loaded up my car with household goodies helped her pack up her car for a good will drop-off  ;)  Among things I inherited were Oscar and a sangria set.  Thanks girly!
