Annapolis County RCMP lay child pornography charges, Annapolis County, N.S.

Annapolis County RCMP have arrested and charged a Middleton man with child pornography charges.

On June 20th, 2014, Annapolis County RCMP executed a search warrant at a Middleton residence based on information that came forward to police.

As a result of the search, a cell phone and two computers were seized. Following further investigation, on August 19th, 2014, 40- year-old Darryl Knott was charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Accessing Child Pornography.

Darryl Knott was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear at Annapolis Provincial Court on October 6th, 2014.

The RCMP encourages all members of our communities to be a voice for those children who are victims of sexual exploitation by reporting any suspected offences to your local police or by using Canada’s National tip line for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children at www.cybertip.ca .
