Antigonish County RCMP investigate armed robbery, Paq’tnkek First Nations, N.S.

Antigonish County RCMP are investigating a robbery that occurred earlier this morning. At approximately 1:35 a.m. this morning, Antigonish County RCMP responded to a report of robbery at the Paq'tnkek Entertainment Center on the Paq'tnkek First Nations.

At approximately 1:35 a.m. this morning, Antigonish County RCMP responded to a report of robbery at the Paq’tnkek Entertainment Center on the Paq’tnkek First Nations.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect believed to be a male wearing a disguise entered the entertainment center with a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the employees and fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash. A police dog from the New Glasgow Police Service was called in to assist with the investigation, the suspect was not located. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as between 5’3′ to 5’7′ and possibly a stocky build. The Antigonish Street Crime Enforcement Unit is assisting with the investigation.
