Antigonish County RCMP investigate serious assault, Frankville, N.S.

Antigonish County RCMP are investigating a serious assault that sent a 27-year-old man to hospital with serious head injuries. At approximately noon yesterday, RCMP responded to a report of a man who had been severely beaten in the Frankville area.

Antigonish County RCMP are investigating a serious assault that sent a 27-year-old man to hospital with serious head injuries.

At approximately noon yesterday, RCMP responded to a report of a man who had been severely beaten in the Frankville area.

When police arrived, a male was in a car at exit 38 with a woman who was attempting to drive him to the hospital. RCMP were not initially able to determine where the assault had occurred. EHS attended and the man, from the Frankville area, was transported to St-Martha’s Hospital with serious injuries. He was later transferred to the QEII Hospital in Halifax via LifeFlight. The Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit is assisting with the investigation which is continuing. Investigators are on site at a residence in Frankville as part of the ongoing investigation.
