Alderney Landing is hosting its first large-scale outdoor concert in over two years on Saturday, August 27th. April Wine will headline the event, and the evening will start with performances by local rising stars Dee Dee Austin and Jodi Upshaw. Tickets are free and must be picked up from the Alderney Landing Box Office.
Tickets are available starting August 3rd in person at the Alderney Landing Box Office.
While tickets last, they can be picked up between 10 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturday, August 6th, at the Alderney Landing Farmers Market booth in the courtyard. There is a maximum of five tickets per customer. Donations will be accepted to help support Alderney Landing’s free family programming.
The evening will celebrate the frontline Healthcare Workers and First Responders who kept us safe during COVID19, says Executive Director Bea MacGregor. “We’ve set aside 2000 tickets for healthcare workers and first responders. They will also have a private entrance and viewing section during the show.
After more than two years of being unable to produce large events on the events plaza,
Alderney Landing has had a busy Summer, playing host to Ribfest, Multifest, and most recently, Buskers. “It’s been amazing to welcome the community back and to be able to gather in large numbers again,” says MacGregor. “It was important for us to cap the summer off with a big show on the Dartmouth waterfront, and it was just as important
to make it free, so it!s accessible to the whole community.”
