Armed robbery in Lake Echo, Lake Echo, N.S.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last evening in Lake Echo.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on August 1st, 2014, Cole Harbor RCMP officers and investigators from the integrated General Investigation Section responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at a business in the 2500-3000 area on Highway 7 in Lake Echo.

Three masked suspects entered the business and used firearms to threaten a 59-year-old male employee. The suspects then fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not injured.

Anyone with information on the suspects or who may have witnessed a vehicle fleeing the area are asked to call the RCMP, Halifax Regional Police or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS ( 8477 ), texting TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at .
