On August 7th, 2020 at approximately 4:24 a.m. police were called to an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 2800 block of Gottingen Street, Halifax. A lone male suspect with his face covered, entered the business with a knife and obtained cigarettes as well as the cash register, the clerk was not injured. The suspect is described as a White Male in his early 30’s, heavy set, @5’5”, wearing a black hoodie, black face mask, black shorts, and sandals.
Patrol officers along with K9 searched for the suspect. The dog was able to track the suspect briefly to the area of Gottingen Street and Bilby Street. Police are still on scene at the time of this release.
