Shortly after 11:00 pm East Division units were called to a disturbance 0-100 Block of Primrose Street in Dartmouth. Upon arrival police located three people who claimed to have been assaulted and sprayed with a sensory irritant while in a dispute with young man.
While officers were searching the area with assistance from K9 they located a male matching the description and a short foot chase ensued. The male was later located in the rear of a building on Pinecrest Drive.
A 16 year old Dartmouth youth was arrested for assault with a weapon, obstruction, resisting arrest and possession of weapons dangerous. Investigation revealed the victims were involved in a dispute with the accused inside a nearby residence that resulted in them being sprayed by the sensory irritant.
The 16 year old was released on a Promise to Appear to answer to his charges at a later date in Youth Court.
