7:10pm A member of the West Quick Response unit was parked on McFatridge Rd in Halifax when a vehicle passed him. The officer recognized the 22 year old male passenger and was aware that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest in relation to breaching his court ordered curfew condition. The officer stopped and arrested the passenger on his warrant. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of pills, cocaine, marijuana and pepper spray. The driver, a 34 year old male, along with the passenger wanted on the warrant were then arrested because of the drugs and pepper spray.
The driver faces trafficking charges and a charge for weapons(possession of the pepper spray). The passenger faces the same charges in addition to his warrant and additional charges for breaching his court orders.
Both are going to Halifax Court later today.
