Release:
Three people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing that
occurred earlier this morning in Halifax.
At 4:23 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured person at an
address on Lavender Walk. Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old
man with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with what
are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. The preliminary
investigation indicates that the incident occurred at a residence on
Orange Walk and the victim fled to Lavender Walk.
Three people, a 36-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old
male, were arrested separately not long after the incident. This is not
a random incident as the victim and suspects are known to each other and
investigators believe the stabbing was a result of a dispute between the
parties.
The investigation is on-going and charges are expected.
