Weekend arson at Bedford school under investigation

Police are investigating an arson that occurred at a school in Bedford over the weekend.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. police and Halifax Fire and Emergency responded to a fire at the Bedford South School located on Oceanview Drive. Suspect(s) broke a window and set a fire inside one of the offices causing extensive damage.

A man and a woman, who were described as white and in their forties, were seen leaving the area in a black truck at the time of the incident.
