Assault with a Weapon – 2100 Block of Barrington St, Halifax

At 4:30pm police were called to the 2100 Block of Barrington St for a call of a male that had been stabbed. The 38-year-old victim was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be serious but not life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a fight with another male and this suspect during the fight pulled a knife and stabbed the victim. This was not a random act and police believe the suspect and the victim are known to each other. The investigation is continuing and the suspect has yet to be located.
