At approximately 2:25 am Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a disturbance call in the parking lot of 14 Highfield Park Dr. 

According to witnesses at the scene, a verbal dispute between 2 males turned in to a physical altercation. During this altercation one of the males produced a knife and began stabbing the other male. Officers were able to respond to the scene quickly and the suspect was immediately take in to custody and the weapon was recovered. A 22 year old male is currently in police custody facing undetermined charges at this time as the investigation is still ongoing. A 47 year old male was taken to hospital with numerous stab wounds that are believed to be serious but not life threatening.
