A new associate deputy minister has been appointed to help guide Community Services as it continues to help Nova Scotia’s most vulnerable.
Nancy MacLellan was appointed to the position after serving as executive director of service delivery at Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations since 2006.
“Ms. MacLellan brings a wealth of experience to this role,” said Community Services Minister Joanne Bernard. “There is lots of good work to do and we’re happy Ms. MacLellan can bring her expertise to the department.”
Community Services has two associate deputy minister positions. Ms. MacLellan will be serving associate deputy minister responsible for strategic initiatives.
The position has been vacant following Lynn Hartwell’s appointment as Deputy Minister of the department in September.
Dave Ryan currently serves as associate deputy minister responsible for operations.
