A film adaptation of Atlas Shrugged, the classic 1957 novel, has been in limbo for over 35 years. There have been all sorts of behind-the-scenes complications involving studio rights, as well as the challenge of properly bringing the complicated content of government control, industry collapse, and economic theory to the big screen.
But a film finally got the green light and will be released this April. And the trailer looks…like shit. Seriously guys? 35 years in the making, and this made-for-TV movie, low-budget crap is all you could come up with?
