Overnight, officers from the Patrol Division of the Halifax Regional Police responded to and are currently investigating one Break and Enter and another attempt Break and Enter.
At 11:55 p.m. on April 20, 2022, officers were notified of a suspect attempting to break into the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission located at 2550 Agricola Street in Halifax.
Offsite security report watching a male that could only be described as dressed in dark clothing, use a concrete block to throw at the front glass repeatedly in an attempt to break into the store. The glass panels were not defeated and entry into the store was not gained. The suspect was reported as leaving the area as police were being dispatched. Officers onscene have collected evidence and the investigation is ongoing. No suspects have been located at the time of this report.
At 1:40 a.m. on April 21, 2022, officers responded to an intrusion alarm at YKN Sunglasses at 1551 South Park Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, the front stores glass was smashed and entry gained by a suspect. The investigation is ongoing and it has not been determined what if any product has been stolen. Police are actively conducting an investigation and processing the scene.
There is no suspect description at this time.
