Attempted Robbery Has HRP Looking For Suspect

From HRPD:

At about 1:15 am a taxi carrying two passengers stopped in the area of Elmwood Avenue and Wyse Road in Dartmouth. The female exited the taxi and the male instructed the driver to drive a short distance away. When he stopped the male produced a knife and demanded cash. The taxi driver refused and got out of his vehicle. The male suspect fled the scene and a K9 team attended . The track was unsuccessful and the male was not located.

The suspect is described as a white male about 20 years old, 5'7" tall about 150 lbs wearing jeans and a light coloured zip up hoodie. The were no injuries and the male did not get anything from the taxi driver. The file is still under investigation.
