Attentive home owner helps RCMP catch thief

The quick action of a resident in Beaver Bank, along with RCMP response, resulted in the arrest of a man who was entering unlocked vehicles in a residential area early this morning.

Prior to 2 a.m. this morning, police responded to a call of someone attempting to steal a vehicle. After arriving on scene, RCMP Police Dog Services assisted with the arrest of a 20-year-old man after he was located in the woods.

A 20-year-old man from Beaver Bank is facing charges for Trespass at Night and Theft Under $5000. He was released on conditions and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on November 15 at 9:30 a.m.
