ATV stop leads to drug charges, Eskasoni, N.S.

Eskasoni RCMP have arrested a local man after he was stopped on his ATV. On August 14th, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Eskasoni RCMP pulled over a 27-year-old man on his ATV for driving on the wrong side of the road.

On August 14th, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Eskasoni RCMP pulled over a
27-year-old man on his ATV for driving on the wrong side of the road.

Subsequent investigation led RCMP to arrest the man for drug related offences. Police seized a large quantity of pills and some cash after the arrest.

Kenneth Joseph Johnson, 27, of Eskasoni, is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Trafficking and Breach of Probation. Johnson appeared in Sydney Provincial Court yesterday and was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Center until Monday August 19th, 2013.
