ATVs Stolen from Shriners May Impact Many HRM Residents

Four ATVs belonging to the Shriners were stolen during a break and enter in Dartmouth on Monday night.

Sometime overnight on Monday, someone broke into a storage container on Mount Hope Avenue and stole four ATVs belonging to the Philae Shriners. The machines are used to entertain children at numerous parades and other events. Three are miniature machines, one red, one grey and the other green. The fourth is a red full size machine. Each machine is decorated with flags and stickers, making them easy to identify.

These ATVs were purchased after years of fund raising and can’t easily be replaced. The Shriners and Halifax Regional Police are reaching out to the public in hopes that someone will assist in returning the machines to the Shriners so they can continue to entertain children. If the person(s) who has the machines would like to return them, they can contact police anonymously and provide a location where they can be retrieved.
