Auditor General Appointed to Auditing and Assurance Standards Board

The Auditing and Assurance Standards Oversight Council recently announced the appointment of Auditor General Michael Pickup to a three-year term on the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.The board is responsible for setting Canadian auditing standards for financial statement audits and other assurance and related services. The appointment was effective April 1 and is a volunteer position. “I very much look forward to working with other professionals from across Canada on the valuable work of the board,” said Mr. Pickup.
