Bacon, etc.

Admit it.  After having a few drinks the night before, there is nothing better than a plate full of grease for breakfast the next day.  Well grease followed by coffee and gallons of water.

I had five drinks last night; I’m not a huge drinker by any means so I was having a pretty good time. 😉   We did get in at a very reasonable hour, (shortly after 10pm) and I immediately chugged a big glass of h20 and went to bed.  Woke up this morning feeling pretty darn good.  I do have a bit of a head ache but I think its more dehydration.

I promised Holly a greasy breakfast if she came to the work event and of course I kept my word.

My big mug of heaven.

Plus loads of water and proof that I’m feeling great! hehe

I buy the re-closable Maple Leaf Centre Cut Bacon.  It’s great! 180 cals for 3 slices.

Big side of fresh, juicy fruit.  Strawberries and cantaloupe.

Along with an egg, sunny-side up.  Dare I admit that it was fried in the same pan as the bacon – I know, the horror! 😉 Plus a slice of dry whole wheat toast.

Nom, Nom, Nom!  And honestly, not that bad calorie-wise.

FYI – the event was a success.

Also wanted to show you guys what I cooked for lunch yesterday.

Pork & Veggie Skewers

IMG_4494
Cubed pork sirloin covered in BBQ sauce alternated with pieces of red, yellow, orange & green peppers and red onion.  Cooked on the BBQ for 20 mins, rotated frequently.

I love skewers because they are so good and so easy.  Plus, the options are endless.  I’m thinking next time I’ll use a chicken, pineapple, red onion & mango combo.

Do you have a favourite combo?

Well I’m off to get ready for the day.  Heading over to have coffee with my Mom and bro, then a much needed trip to the gymbo.

Back later!
