Police arrested two males and are investigating the circumstances surrounding an injured third in separate incidents.

At approximately 5:35 pm Central Patrol officers attempted to conduct a check on a vehicle on Maynard when the occupants fled the area. After a brief foot pursuit a 17 year old was arrested and found to be in possession of a firearm. The second male a 16 year old was located and arrested without incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up another firearm, as well as a small quantity of drugs. Both males face several firearms and drug related charges and will be held for court.

10-93685 – Officers responded at 2:35 a.m. to a report of an injured male laying on the street on Argyle at Prince. Responding members found a 26-year-old in a semi-conscious state suffering from an obvious head injury. He was transported to hospital with injuries that are life-threatening at this time. The preliminary investigation leads police to believe the male was involved in an altercation in front of an Argyle Street bar and chased from the area. It is not clear at this time however whether the head injury was caused by an assault or a fall. The matter remains under investigation.
