Barricaded Person Incident – Two More Arrested

Saturday, May 21st 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) N.S…….. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Halifax District responded to a loud party complaint at an apt. building on Walker Ave., in Sackville, N,.S. at 02:51 hours. During an altercation with the partygoers, a male adult from the party, pointed what is believed to be a firearm, at an RCMP member. At approximately the same time a female adult was arrested for causing a disturbance and assaulting one of the RCMP members. RCMP members were also threatened with a golf club and baseball bat. Two male suspects ran back into the apt. and refused to comply with demands to come out. The Emergency Response team and negotiators were called to assist. The apt. was contained and several adjacent apartments were evacuated. At 0858 hours two male suspects were arrested. The investigation is continuing. Cpl. Scott MacRae will send out any updates.
