HRM Release:

(October 22, 2010) An art installation that debuted in conjunction with
Nocturne art at night on October 16th will remain in place at the Roy

“Mandaee Bazaar” is a large-scale video projection taken from
footage of a market/bazaar in Afganistan. The project, funded by HRM
through its Open Projects program, was the brainchild of two local
artists: Scott Saunders and Ariel Nasr.

HRM Open Projects annually calls for proposals to stage temporary
installations and performances throughout the municipality. It is
administered by HRM Cultural Affairs. “Mandaee Bazaar” is one of
eight projects funded through the 2010 program.
