Friday, June 24, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and pedestrians that the sidewalk located on the eastern side of Barrington Street, from North Street to Niobe Gate, is closed for the next few months.
The sidewalk closure was implemented in anticipation of planned construction work on the adjacent retaining wall.
Pedestrian access will be maintained via the sidewalk located on the western side of Barrington Street during this closure.
Please note the Halifax Transit bus stop located in the affected block will be out of service until the sidewalk re-opens.
The municipality regrets any inconvenience this sidewalk closure may cause.
