Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that Barrington Street, between Duke Street and Spring Garden Road, will be closed to vehicular traffic all day on Sunday, Oct. 30, as part of the ongoing Barrington Refresh Project.
The street closure will go into effect at 7 a.m., and is required to facilitate asphalt paving operations. This street closure is expected to remain in place until approximately 12 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, weather permitting.
Residents and motorists are reminded of the night time street closures in effect on this section of Barrington Street each Sunday to Wednesday night, to facilitate the street, sidewalk and street lighting upgrades that have been underway since late August.
Next week during the night time street closures, crews will be focused on line painting and clean-up activities, with an anticipated project completion on Nov. 4, weather permitting.
The municipality appreciates your patience during this street and sidewalk improvement project, and regrets any inconvenience it may have caused.
