Barrington Street – Temporary Street and Sidewalk Closure

Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising motorists and pedestrians of a temporary street and sidewalk closure today on Barrington Street, from George Street to Duke Street, due to falling ice and snow from the roof of City Hall.

Work to remove the snow and ice from the roof of City Hall will begin immediately and is expected to be complete by 2 p.m.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to find alternate routes during this time. Halifax Transit passengers should be aware that bus stops on the affected portion of Barrington Street will not be serviced during this work. Detours for affected routes will be tweeted by Halifax Transit @hfxtransit on Twitter.

The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary street and sidewalk closure may cause.
